As a Part Time Lobby Lounge Bar Porter at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you'll be at the heart of the guest experience, ensuring seamless delivery and service of exceptional food and beverage offerings that elevate every visit to unforgettable. - Prepare perishable garnishes, fruits, and juices according to business levels.
- Assist in maintaining adequate supplies for outlet bars.
- Retrieve and verify orders from storeroom for accuracy.
- Store products properly and in designated areas.
- Ensure cleanliness and compliance with health standards in bar areas.
- Scoop and transport ice to service areas.
- Transport and maintain portable bars and tap units.
- Assist with additional duties as requested by management.
What do you bring to the role?
- One year or more of service assistance experience in a fine dining outlet with some experience; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be knowledgeable in preparation of alcoholic beverages including adhering to all State, Federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Fully understands the menu and wine list from the standpoint of ingredients and preparation of the dishes to the delivery and service expected to accompany the dish.
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to ensure proper delivery amounts, understand portion sizes, and assist with inventory.
- Sufficient manual dexterity of hands and arms in order to use a knife, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, tap kegs, and extend arms overhead to stock items.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate in English in order to provide service as requested by bartenders, managers and guests.
- Ability to read and comprehend safe-handling instructions of products and equipment.
- Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs.
- Ability to work a variety of schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
