DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an intern with Troop L, you will have the opportunity to interview and engage with patrol, crime, and staff commanders, gaining a deeper understanding of their roles and responsibilities. You will also have the chance to observe and interact with troopers in specialized units, including criminal investigations, computer crime, canine operations, aviation, and more. Your responsibilities will involve preparing statistical reports and offering recommendations based on an analysis of crime and crash data. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to share your perspectives on the cultural perceptions of law enforcement and suggest ways to enhance the relationship between law enforcement and the young adult community. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time internship in summer 2025
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Internship Requirements:
- You must be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program (or higher).
- You must have satisfactorily completed at least 60 credits by June 2025.

Legal Requirements:
- Applicants shall have no adult criminal conviction graded Misdemeanor 2 or higher under PA Title 18 (or its equivalent for out-of-state and federal convictions).
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
