DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Director in advancing the Bureau's mission, vision, and goals by leading employee engagement efforts, motivating and mentoring managers and staff, and coaching and advising supervisors on managerial issues. Work will involve planning, coordinating, and directing the daily operations of several divisions in collaboration with division management. This may involve responsibility for management functions as they affect the programs of numerous and complex organizational segments with professional or technical programs, and for the evaluation and improvement of such operations. You will be responsible to develop departmental policies and regulations and recommend the establishment and revision of legislation to ensure teams can effectively carry out our administrative and appeal obligations. Work is performed with a high degree of independence, although subject to the review of administrative superiors for program effectiveness. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 4 (Commonwealth title); or
- Eight years of experience in progressively responsible and varied management or staff work, including personnel management, fiscal management, budgeting, or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
