Job Summary

The VP of Sales is responsible for overseeing and leading sales for railcar leasing within their identified territory at AITX. This role involves developing strategies to attract new customers, build relationships with existing clients, and ensure the business meets its sales goals and growth targets. This position works closely with marketing and portfolio to market and promote AITX's products and services.

Job Duties

  • Meet with existing customers to discuss new leasing opportunities and ongoing renewals, repair needs and services.
  • Builds lasting relationships with customers focusing on both new customer acquisition and retention of existing customers in the rail leasing market.
  • Drive revenue growth and market share expansion within assigned territory.
  • Market intelligence - identify and evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to adjust sales strategy and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Proactive account management - identify strategic accounts and proactively manage account plans, call reports and lead generation.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences to network and gain market insights. Build AITX's brand and reputation in the marketplace.
  • Conduct independent market research to understand demand and consumer needs. Proactively market available railcar inventory and growth opportunities.
  • Work effectively across departments and internally with the Customer Experience team to facilitate deal flow and provide exceptional customer service. Work closely with the portfolio, operations, and credit teams to ensure seamless customer experience from initial inquiry to lease execution and ongoing service and needs.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or requisite work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in rail car leasing and sales
  • Demonstrated successful sales performance, revenue growth and account management
  • Ability to travel 75%
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
