Reports To: Director of Global Sales

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Inside Sales Manager to join our team. In this role, you will direct, coordinate, schedule, and supervise assigned inside sales functions, which include applications engineering. You will act as a liaison between customers, channel partners, direct sales personnel, and the company on matters regarding product applications, selection, and sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Inside Sales Reps and Applications Engineers, including assigning work, overseeing productivity and quality, annual performance reviews, and providing feedback.
  • Assist with the establishment of pricing, procedures, and other sales processes.
  • Ensure accurate, efficient, and timely preparation of proposals in conjunction with Regional Sales Managers and Engineering.
  • Prepare complete and accurate order transmittal packages for transfer of order information to Engineering and/or Production.
  • Assist Marketing with developing literature, demonstration equipment, and other sales aids.
  • Provide in-house backup and support for traveling Regional Sales Managers and channel partners.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in company-sponsored sales meetings.
  • Occasionally travel to make customer sales calls, exhibit at or attend trade shows, etc.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering preferred; similar experience may substitute.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical sales or management experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment, preferably with process and power plants.
  • Experience in sales and contract negotiations, along with an understanding of marketing strategies for technical products.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP, and CRM programs.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&ID, and other technical drawings.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to establish priorities, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and willingness to respond to customers expediently
  • Occasional travel to trade shows, customer sites, and training events.
