DevOps Engineer II

We have a challenging career opportunity for a DevOps/SRE Engineer. You will have the ability to automate tasks that cause friction for both our customers and developers. You also love everything about the web and understand the pace of technology and embrace it. You'll work on cloud based solutions and help product teams meet their goals by creating processes, and writing code to automate those processes. You know how to work closely with the business to build cutting-edge solutions following the lean/Agile development process.

What you will do:

  • Create, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure
  • Implement monitoring for applications and infrastructure
  • Automate developer processes
  • Ensure organization compliance requirements are met
  • Ensure security of platform
  • Plan, deploy, and maintain critical business applications in prod/non-prod cloud environments.
  • Engineer suitable release management procedures and provide production support.
  • Drive improvements to processes and design enhancements to automation to continuously improve production environments.
  • Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve development experience
  • Perform root cause analysis for incidents and outages
  • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Maintain and contribute to our knowledge base and documentation.

What we need from you:

  • BA/BS, in a related technical field; or the equivalent in education and work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years prior work experience working with an application development organization Hands on demonstrable experience with AWS based services
  • Experience with SCM tools such as Git, Bitbucket, or GitHub
  • Experience with container management using Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes
  • Experience setting up, administrating, and maintaining log aggregations with tools such as OpenSearch or Elastic
  • Experience managing CI/CD builds for Java, NodeJS, and Dotnet based web applications with tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Experience scripting in Bash, Python, or Powershell
  • Experience working on large scale cloud based web applications

  • Self-starter who works efficiently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and a geographically distributed team
  • Ability to think creatively and seek optimum solutions
  • Ability to grasp loosely defined concepts and transform them into tangible results and key deliverables
  • Diagnostic skills with the ability to analyze technical, business and financial issues and options
  • Ability to infer from previous examples, willingness to understand how an application is put together

The base salary pay for this role is $135,000 - $145,000 per year.

This position will also be eligible to earn a discretionary bonus each year, subject to company approval.
