The Manager/Dispatch is responsible for managing the staff and daily operations of the Phoenix or Las Vegas Dispatch function. This position reports to the Senior Manager/Dispatch and will be physically located at the Dispatch function opposite of the Senior Manager/Dispatch (i.e., either Las Vegas or Phoenix). The incumbent will assist with ensuring Dispatch emergency response activities are achieved through high levels of customer satisfaction, quality, productivity, and safety standards while ensuring compliance with Company policies, procedures, and all federal/state regulations. This position demonstrates a commitment to excellence through continuous staff development that enhances employee engagement, customer service, innovation, productivity, and morale.

POSITION DIMENSIONS

Reporting directly to this position are up to four supervisory employees located at the same physical location as the incumbent. The incumbent is not directly responsible for a budget. The incumbent must be able to influence Dispatch employees and operating division personnel. The incumbent also frequently exchanges information with Manager-level employees outside of Dispatch and infrequently exchanges information with senior management and government officials.

QUALIFICATIONS

There are clear precedents and practices that the incumbent uses as guidelines to determine how this job is performed. This position requires five to eight years of relevant work experience.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Provide managerial assistance on the development and implementation of strategies and operating protocols for the centralized Dispatch function to ensure the protection of people and property on a 24/7/365 basis
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager/Dispatch, along with operating division management personnel to identify and implement enhancements to continuously improve emergency response to ensure the safety of Company customers and property
  • Champion the One Dispatch philosophy by continuously identifying and implementing initiatives to support and enhance One Dispatch
  • Manage and support innovations and continuous process improvements through operational and quality best practices while fostering a culture of excellence
  • Ensure optimization of resources to enhance and maintain an efficient workforce to meet the operational needs of a 24/7/365 operating environment for the Phoenix or Las Vegas Dispatch function
  • Assist with the development, management, and implementation of quality control methods and department key performance indicators and analytics that support quality assurance
  • Manage, and maintain a culture of excellence through dedicated safety and quality programs
  • Develop, manage, and maintain Dispatch policies and procedures, ensuring they are consistent with Company-wide policies and procedures
  • As needed, represent Dispatch as the subject matter expert for projects involving Dispatch and emergency response
  • Develop and maintain effective organization of responsibility, including efficient recruiting, training, coaching, recognition, and workflow patterns
  • Support Dispatch function culture to ensure that employees look forward to their job and strive for top performance
  • Provide guidance and support to resolve Dispatch function challenges. Utilize risk assessment to mitigate negative impacts and ensure resolution aligns with Company/department vision and goals
  • Direct, motivate, and evaluate employees
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job


SALARY DETAILS

Las Vegas: $92,000 - $138,000
