Position Overview

Configuration Analyst responsible for receiving, tracking, maintaining, and delivering all program documents and artifacts working as a team member that is developing the next-generation collective training software system in an Agile DevSecOps environment. Analyzes proposed product design changes to determine the effect on the overall system. Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations. Prepares deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met. Compiles audit information. May audit subcontractors' inspection or technical document preparation procedure to verify compliance with contract requirements. Prepares manual or automated records of part design change documents.



Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

    SW Release Management. Receives media, track, and packages for release/delivery.
  • SW License Management: Track license expirations / QTY usage from purchasing and sends report. Maintain / Update SW license tracking tool.
  • Media Management / Library Management. Requests / Receives media handovers from Co-Dev or Govt. track and distributes internally.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • CM/DM process documentation updates, as needed.
  • Back-up for Customer Deliverables, as needed.
  • Participate or back-up for QA Audits, as needed.
  • Manage Library Media Server backups and auditing.


Required Experience/Qualifications

Education and Experience: ENTRY LEVEL position.

  • College level education in a related technical area or equivalent technical certifications (e.g. ITIL, CMII, CM, II, IAT, NDIA, CMPIC)
  • Must have working knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems, computer hardware and networking.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Able to comprehend technical documents at a basic level.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to work in a systematic, highly organized manner.
  • Must demonstrate ability to remain calm and retain control when under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively team with multiple organizational disciplines.
  • Interest in continuous education in configuration management disciplines
  • Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines while maintaining accuracy.


Preferred Experience/Qualifications

Desired experience for Configuration Analyst I includes:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use one of these operating systems (Windows and Linux)
  • Experience with one of these processes; inventory management, data management, software development or hardware integration
  • Experience performing configuration item identification, baseline definition, source code control, Action items and CM library use, and change request management.
  • Experience working within a CMMI / Agile / Department of Defense environment.


Special Requirements/Security Clearance

In accordance with the specifications of a government contract, eligibility for this position mandates U.S. Citizenship status and ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance. The precise security clearance requisites will be detailed in the Government's Task Order.
