Description of the role: The Respite Care Worker will provide respite behavioral health care services to youth by providing structured activities in a safe and productive environment. Responsibilities: Benefits: About the Company: The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center for Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We provide high-quality care to all individuals, regardless of their ability to pay. Qualifications for Respite Care Worker EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or GED required. Must be 21 years of age or older and have six months experience working with youth. Experience gained through practicum experience or volunteer work can be included. Preferred: One year of college course work or one year experience in the field of human services or a combination of each; experience working with youth with mental health issues.
