POSITION SUMMARY
* This position is responsible for financial reporting and analysis, business decision support, forecasting and budgeting; interfacing with other department leaders and all levels of the finance organization. * The Financial Analyst I is an entry level position in the Financial Planning and Analysis group which supports various areas of financial planning and control including analysis of decisions, forecasting departmental costs, managerial reporting and variance analysis. This position involves frequent interaction with all levels of FMM's staff. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Support monthly reporting of cost center and business unit results . * Prepare monthly reporting for non-construction projects and analyze data. * Support variance analysis of monthly results including root cause analysis . * Monitor and support cost saving initiatives and process improvement projects throughout the organization. * Support analysis of proposed business decisions and communicate findings, including make-buy analysis, cost-benefit justification, etc. * Work with other functions to create and maintain timely budgets and forecasts and any reporting or monitoring required to drive accountability for achievement of business objectives. * Monitor financial and business KPI's, providing reports and analysis to business leaders. * Support manufacturing project accounting and analysis. Work with the Financial Analyst II and Program Cost Analysts to analyze cost projections for completion of major manufacturing projects. * Provide support for other projects and duties as assigned. * May assist Shipyard Controller, Director of Finance or other finance staff with special assignments. * Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures. |
