Job Title: Compensation Analyst Contractor

Basic Function

This role is for a contract position. *This position will be payrolled through an outside company with placement at***.*

As a member of the Global Compensation Team, you will provide analytical support for compensation processes to meet business objectives in the area of global compensation and rewards recognition. While this position focuses on the US region, you will also assist on projects that are global in nature and provide Compensation support for other regions as needed. As part of this role, candidates must be based in Houston and are required to work at least two days a week in the LYB office. Additionally, flexibility to work extra days in office as needed is essential.

Roles & Responsibilities

* Salary Survey Submission: Research and efficiently complete a large volume of compensation surveys and maintain extensive survey library

* Track all global surveys and provide guidance on backup to other regions as necessary

* Assist in the implementation of a compensation (market pricing) tool, including configuring customized settings to ensure accurate and efficient data management.

* Perform job evaluation and pricing requests using general and industry-specific competitive market data

* Provide administrative support related to our Compensation and Recognition program such as monitoring the Compensation and Rewards inbox, liaising with Accounting to validate accuracy of cost allocations, completing ad-hoc reporting requests, developing Retention letters, etc.

* Provide counsel as needed to Human Resources colleagues on compensation issues; respond to questions applying high customer satisfaction standards

* Provide support during the annual bonus and merit cycle to include various data analyses and maintenance of internal templates.

* Participate as a project member in projects that may arise during the year such as Career Framework

* Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures

* Maintain knowledge of global compensation laws and regulations to ensure compliance

* Perform ad-hoc projects to support the Global Compensation team and Human Resources colleagues throughout the year as needed

Min. Qualifications

* Typically a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management, Finance or related field (preferred)

* Typically requires 3 years of progressive experience in total rewards/compensation

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to interface effectively with Human Resources colleagues and management

Ability to work on multiple, diverse projects in a fast-paced environment

Strong analytical skills and advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Requires in-office attendance two times a week
