Location: Remote or reports to Rocklin, CA Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Development Coordinator. This role is critical in supporting the company's business development and marketing efforts by identifying, tracking, and managing potential opportunities in key markets. This position is responsible for monitoring various bid platforms, administering leads, and assisting in the sales cycle to ensure seamless project tracking and execution. Working closely with the Business Development team and regional stakeholders, the Coordinator will be a key internal sales resource for opportunity and market tracking, sales cycle administration, and event coordination, including engaging with marketing efforts to support key client initiatives. - Lead Generation and Market Tracking: Identify and monitor opportunities across multiple bid platforms, as well as track budgets, legislation, and other forms of market intelligence ensuring timely internal communication and data accuracy. Review and analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), Records of Decision (RODs), and other public data to extract key insights. This role involves synthesizing complex regulatory, financial, and environmental information into clear, concise summaries to support strategic go/no-go decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess opportunities and their alignment with organizational objectives, ensuring informed and efficient business decisions.
- Sales Cycle Administration: Assist in managing leads and projects from initial identification through closure, supporting business development and regional teams. Support the administration of CRM Database including data entry, management, and reporting.
- Event Coordination & Support: Assist in coordinating trade shows, client meetings, and industry events. Prepare event materials, including presentations, handouts, and branded promotional items.
- Database Management & Research: Maintain and manage business development, marketing, and proposal databases. Ensure timely and accurate opportunity data and industry research within various platforms.
- Marketing Materials Development: Work closely with internal teams to align marketing and business development efforts with market intelligence. Assist in updating marketing collateral, including brochures, project sheets, presentations, website content, social media content, implementing company brand guidelines on assigned projects.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in market research, sales coordination, or business development support or a similar role within the construction, engineering, or professional services industry.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate technical documents into actionable insights are essential.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, Hubspot) and proposal software.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills including strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Familiarity with bid platforms and industry-specific tracking tools and ability to analyze market trends and legislative updates.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to drive on behalf of company business.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Premiere) is preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment This office-based role requires frequent computer use and effective communication, with occasional travel to project sites as needed. Site visits may involve extended periods of standing or walking and required PPE, with potential exposure to heavy equipment, chemicals, dust, fumes, uneven terrain, and extreme weather.
