Truss Designer

Compensation: $70K - $90K, depending on experience and skillset

Schedule: 1st Shift

As a Truss Designer, you'll create custom trusses for both residential and commercial projects. You'll collaborate with the sales team, production staff, and clients to ensure every truss meets design specifications, safety standards, and customer needs. If you're experienced with structural design principles and proficient in truss design software, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Design and draft roof and floor trusses for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings using advanced design software.
• Work closely with sales teams and clients to gather project specifications and deliver precise truss designs.
• Review architectural plans to ensure truss designs comply with building codes and structural requirements.
• Generate detailed truss drawings, material lists, and design calculations.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are buildable and accurate.
• Address design challenges or issues during production or construction.
• Stay current with the latest truss design technology, industry trends, and local building codes.
• Ensure timely completion of designs and communicate project timelines effectively.
• Provide technical support and assistance to customers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in structural design, engineering, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in truss design or a similar field is highly desirable.
