Senior Account Manager - Accident & Health

The Opportunity: Support Accident & Health (A&H) underwriting business strategy by handling daily operations for a moderately complex bloc of business. Provides exceptional support being the primary contact to policyholder's and producers.

  • Location: Marblehead, MA, Plano, TX, or Edina, MN

  • Work Arrangement: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week

  • The salary range for this role is between $75,000 - $124,000.

Your New Role:

  • Provides all-encompassing post sale customer service support for assigned new business and renewal moderately complex blocks of business.

  • Supports a dedicated team of Underwriters and Business Development Leaders to ensure smooth delivery of client services for a moderately complex book of business

  • Responsible for the collection of required items to ensure timely policy issuance and underwriting requirements are met for moderately complex book of business. Validates document terminology fits contractual needs to protects QBE against risk and requests any additional documentation, if necessary

  • Maintains ongoing account relationships by being the primary contact for claims and premium accounting post issuance, assisting with collection process, and ensuring commissions/applicable fee's are accurate. Strong attention to detail to identify and remediate all said issues

  • Manages new and renewal implementation processes for moderately complex accounts including scheduling and leading implementation calls. Ability to provide strategic guidance as a follow up to these calls

  • Proven favorable internal and external relationships, with the end goal of providing the highest level of support by meeting or exceeding industry standards

  • Provides strong partnership with Business Development Leaders for new business and renewal opportunities. Inclusive of producer outreach, development of new producer relationships, helping with renewal calls and the gathering of RFP data.

  • Assists with meeting scheduling, presentation creation, and reporting assistance as needed

  • Proven subject matter expert to develop new business campaigns

  • Partners with marketing team on creation of marketing data, communications, newsletters and social media outreach

  • Participant in new partnership discussions and product creation; inclusive of making systemic contact with customers inclusive of in-person meeting scheduling and multi system updating

  • Coordinates industry events; responsible for tracking budget expenditure; attendance of events as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing business operations and/or customer relationship; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

  • Account management experience.

  • Customer service experience.

  • Experience in the insurance servicing industry.

  • Experience building relationships with external clients.

  • Increasing levels of responsibility.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Proven customer focus with ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Working knowledge of A&H and Medical Stop Loss

  • Working knowledge of policies and best practices for providing effective customer service and representing the organization to external sources by phone, in person, and through email

  • Ability to articulately present product and company value proposition

  • Effective organizational skills; manage and prioritize competing responsibilities concurrently and effectively

  • Proven critical thinker to resolve problems

  • Capable of working in a faced paced environment

  • Work independently with little supervision or direction

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.We encourage all candidates to apply, even if their salary expectations fall outside of this range, as we are committed to finding the right fit for our team.
