Project Engineer

Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for our next Project Engineer to support activities at our Jackson, Mi location. The Project Engineer will be part of the global product development team for industrial hydraulic cylinders. This team designs custom cylinders for Danfoss customers with special application needs. For the Engineer to Order [ETO] projects with higher complexity, the project engineer will spend a portion of the time leading these projects from concept to completion across all departments involved and providing the customer with periodic progress reports.

In summary, we need an engineer with project management skills or one with an interest to learn more about managing projects.

This position requires the use of information or access to technology which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR/EAR. ITAR/EAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Manage complex custom cylinder projects from concept to delivery.
• Be an active member of cylinder design engineering as well as other engineering duties.
• Keep track of project progress to be on schedule and ensure the project is executed according to the objective.
• Communicate progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestones and other key project metrics to customers and project team members.
• Maintain the same standard of approach in project management.
• Support the frontline Project Sales Team in overall requirements for project tendering with tight submission deadlines.
• Responsible for accurate and on-time submission of all required project management documents.
• Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Sales.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
• 2+ years of work experience in field of engineering.
• Proficiency in NX or another 3D-CAD system
• Ability to work effectively in a high quality, deadlinecommittedenvironment.

• Good time management and project management skills to organize and plan effectively.
