Schmidt Construction Company part of the Levy Group of Companies is seeking an Asphalt Roller Operator to work at our Colorado Springs, CO location. The Asphalt Roller Operator will operate asphalt roller to break down, compress, and finish asphalt. Pay: $25-30 Shift/Schedule: Full Time Day Job w/ Nights and Weekends as needed Benefits Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs Student Loan Repayment Program Employee Referral Program Responsibilities The Operator will: Roll asphalt mat once it is laid to breakdown, compress and finish asphalt Aid in cleaning up the site and removing and unneeded items Turn in any requests for maintenance to Foreman Perform daily machine inspections and routine greasing, oiling, and fueling Communicate with office and field personnel Assist maintenance personnel with repairs Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Skills The ideal candidate will have: Knowledge of roller patterns Knowledge of densities and temperatures Knowledge of materials Basic mechanical aptitude Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time Work outside for an extended period of time Ability to communicate well with co-workers, customers, and other departments Ability to read and write To Apply Please submit your resume.
