Description
Aurorium is currently seeking a Global Product Regulatory Manager to be based out of our Indianapolis, Indiana headquarters. This role will be responsible for understanding global chemical regulations, determining applicability to our product portfolio, and establishing/maintaining effective controls to ensure compliance and reduce risk. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter focused on delivering results who can work independently, identify and provide continuous improvement opportunities, and thrive in a team environment.

Job Details

Role Specific Responsibilities:
  • Research and report on global regulatory topics, providing concise, actionable advice to business units, operations and research groups
  • Obtain/maintain global product registrations for Aurorium products, including but not limited to EU REACH, US TSCA, biocides/pesticides, food contact substances, cosmetic ingredients and pharmaceutical actives and intermediates
  • Lead projects to calculate and communicate product lifecycle analysis/carbon footprint information using best practices
  • Lead and coach others in data collection supporting Aurorium's participation in sustainability and governance reporting systems (e.g., Ecovadis, Sedex, CDP and others)
  • Manage external consultants and their deliverables for outsourced projects, meeting expected timeframes and budgets
  • Provide regulatory input to global product development teams to achieve business objectives
  • Provide timely support to global Aurorium customer queries
  • Submit robust, timely responses to global regulatory agencies as required
  • Perform or facilitate audits and participate in non-conformance investigations as needed
  • Contribute to development and continuous improvement of regulatory processes and standards

Compliance:
  • Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements
  • Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
  • Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times

  • Active participation in continuous improvement activities
  • Participates in problem-solving
  • Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the business
  • Assists in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members
  • Exercises autonomy and judgement subject to overall direction or guidance

Qualifications/Desired Skills

Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related scientific discipline (e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, biology, toxicology)
  • Current on global product safety/stewardship regulations

Experience:
  • 5-7 years' experience in chemical product regulations; previous experience with product lifecycle/carbon footprint analysis strongly preferred
  • Experience authoring safety data sheets and product labels a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong communication, advanced problem solving and analytical skills
  • Customer service mindset, eager to participate in business growth projects
  • Has a passion for continuous learning
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment across multiple time zones
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed (< 10%)
