What we need...

We're looking for an Operations Associate in our Avon, CT office. This person will be responsible for reconciling all cash letters (incoming/outgoing), and preparation of adjustments within the defined SLAs. Acting as liaison between Financial Institutions and the Federal Reserve Bank/Correspondent Institution, this person will utilize multitasking and problem solving skills to ensure accurate financial records.

This is a 2nd shift role, and the schedule is 2-10:30PM Monday-Friday. Employees work a hybrid schedule and must be in the Avon, CT office 3 days per week. Employees will also work one Sunday morning shift every 6 weeks.

What you'll do...



  • Process electronic files for our clients in an accurate and timely manner, including preparing and balancing cash letters, transit deposits daily, and return files, accurately and within the established SLAs for each financial institution
  • Communicate balancing information, adjustments, reports and issues to Client Services Payment Support group for further escalation.
  • Performs re-entry of rejected MICR line data and/or images utilizing a computer.
  • Performs research functions necessary to process FI/Endpoint/Interdepartmental routine inquiries.
  • May be responsible for accurate and timely EARNS notification and perform mismatched statement function in an accurate and timely manner
  • Analyze missing images report for the image statements at cycle cut time.
  • Follow established procedure on disposition of mismatched statements as provided by the FIs
  • Create x9 file to be submitted to designated statement rendering vendor for mailing purposes.



What you'll bring...



  • Bachelor's degree is preferred for this role but will consider appropriate work experience and/or relevant certifications.
  • Minimum of one year banking experience in back office/operations environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management both verbally and in writing with both internal and external customers
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to multitask and work independently
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work evening shift on a hybrid schedule in Avon, CT. This person will be on site 3 days/week and the shift is 2-10:30pm


Salary range for this role is $45,000 - 54,560 annually
