    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as an Analytics Engineer. In this role, you will manage and enhance our data infrastructure, ensuring the efficient movement and transformation of data across cloud-based systems, while also creating and managing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models to support data-driven decision-making.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure Data Services, SQL, and data modeling, combined with technical expertise in Power BI. You should have a deep understanding of data analysis, a passion for delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure data solutions, and the ability to design visually compelling, user-friendly reports and dashboards. Additionally, you should be able to collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure that our business intelligence solutions are aligned with organizational goals and drive informed decision-making.

    Design and Implement Data Solutions

    • Architect and build scalable, high-performance data pipelines and warehouses using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, and other Azure data services.
    • Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT processes for the efficient transfer and transformation of data across diverse sources and targets.
    • Manage and take ownership of all data warehouse infrastructure components: Oversee resources such as data pipelines, storage, and data marts, ensuring seamless operation and efficient management.

    Data Modeling and Warehousing

    • Design and implement data models, ensuring scalability and performance of the data warehouse and data marts.
    • Integrate structured and unstructured data from on-premises and cloud sources, ensuring data quality and consistency across the pipeline.

    Performance Optimization

    • Monitor data pipelines for efficiency, optimize for performance, and troubleshoot issues.
    • Utilize scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.) and automation tools to streamline data workflows and processes.

    Power BI Report & Dashboard Development

    • Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
    • Develop dynamic reports with drill-down capabilities, filtering options, and custom visualizations.

    Collaboration & Requirement Gathering

    • Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and other technical teams to gather report requirements and understand key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Translate business needs into effective Power BI solutions, ensuring reports meet business objectives.

    Data Governance & Best Practices

    • Ensure adherence to best practices in data engineering, data governance, and security protocols.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of data privacy and compliance requirements and ensure that data models comply with these standards.

    Documentation & Reporting

    • Create and maintain detailed documentation for data processes, pipeline configurations, and system architecture.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving Azure data warehouse issues

    User Training & Support

    • Provide training and support to business users on how to interact with and navigate Power BI reports and dashboards.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving Power BI-related issues.
    Qualifications

    Required Experience and Competencies

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
    • Experience in Azure Data Services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage
    • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and data transformation using Azure tools.
    • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Power BI development.
    • Strong proficiency in Power BI tools, including Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service.
    • Ability to design and implement interactive, visually appealing reports and dashboards.
    • Experience with data governance, security practices, and best practices for cloud-based solutions.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality.
    • Proactive and self-driven, with a passion for continuous learning and development.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
    • Power BI Certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) is a plus
    • Hands on experience with Delta Lake and Azure Databricks
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
