The expected hiring range for this position is: $119,200.00-$169,467.00.

About the Role: Fermilab's Human Resources Department is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Talent Management to provide strategic direction and execution of enterprise-wide talent management programs. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this role will oversee critical HR functions such as Succession Planning, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Workforce Planning, and Employee Relations. The Senior Manager, Talent Management will oversee the HR Business Partner team in Batavia, Illinois, and Lead, South Dakota. They will work closely with Laboratory leadership to identify and address strategic talent needs while implementing innovative HR solutions. What your day-to-day as a Senior Manager, Talent Management at Fermilab will look like: * Lead the HR Partner team in executing talent management strategies, including performance management, career development, succession planning, and workforce planning. * Collaborate with Laboratory leadership to formalize succession planning and bench-strength initiatives. * Assess internal capabilities and support career and development path initiatives across the Laboratory. * Partner with HR colleagues to design and implement innovative programs that enhance the employee experience at Fermilab. * Provide guidance and support for complex workforce relations matters, policy development, and employee and labor relations. * Oversee all HR actions for the HR Partner team, including hiring, promotions, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations. * Serve as Senior HR Partner for senior leadership, handling onboarding, promotions, performance reviews, investigations, and employee relations matters. * Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Talent Management modules within the Human Capital Management system. * Manage employee engagement and other organizational pulse surveys. * Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations. * Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Attributes for Success: * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or another related discipline with 7+ years of experience. Master's degree preferred. Applicable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: * Advanced knowledge of talent management concepts, practices, and procedures. * Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and labor regulations. * Demonstrated experience in workforce relations, including conduct and performance management in a matrixed organization. * Proven ability to build strategic partnerships and work collaboratively with senior leadership, HR colleagues, and internal/external legal counsel. * Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. * Labor relations experience is a plus.
