Performance Engineer - ICAS

The Stellantis Infotainment, Connectivity, Access and Security team is revolutionizing the vehicle ownership experience through the invention of software products delivered to customers through a variety of digital touchpoints including mobile apps, websites, and in-vehicle infotainment systems.

The team is seeking candidates that will be responsible for Connected Services, Vehicle Access, Start, & Security voice of the customer (VoC) development, customer functional objectives target setting, and vehicle level DVP&R development and execution. The Performance Engineer will support the vehicle integration and validation process by owning and maintaining functional objective scorecard, leading the attribute team, and supporting tech club and vehicle program requests. The Performance Engineer will investigate and analyze vehicle issues for root causes and issue the appropriate documentation for resolution including leading the team where the issue crosses multiple vehicle disciplines. The Performance Engineer will lead and support ride and drive events, overnight evaluations, and trips with vehicle updates and diagnostic tools. They will also set vehicle-specific objective performance targets for all connectivity, vehicle access, security and start features based benchmarks of competitive set, translated voice-of-customer, and industry knowledge.

The Performance Engineer will be responsible for managing all Infotainment, Connected Services, Vehicle Access, Start, & Security features for their platform, ensuring the voice of the customer is met and on time to all vehicle milestones.

Key Job Duties:

1. Manages their program-specific features and timing to ensure features are on time to milestones

2. Cross-functional team leader

3. Leads ICAS team validation, issue tracking, triage, and resolution to any issues found

4. Owns vehicle-level ICAS scorecard

5. Creates/manages vehicle AFODs

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering or related degree field.
  • 5 years of automotive experience.
  • Very positive attitude with ability to facilitate with cross-functional experience.
  • Highly motivated individual with a track record of "getting things done."
  • Self-starter who can work cross-functionally with other organizations.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Good mentoring and coaching skills with ability to work directly with individuals and groups.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written and ability to communicate technical content to a non-technical audience
  • Good project coordination skills
  • Flexibility - must be able to adapt to changing environment with minimal effect on productivity.
  • Willing to travel up to 20% away from primary work location.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering or related degree field.
  • Working knowledge of FMEA, design validation (DV) and process validation (PV) (DVPR), and test planning
  • Five years of vehicle integration and validation experience or equivalent
  • DFSS Green Belt
