Our team in Space and Defense Group has an exciting new leadership opportunity in Blacksburg, VA. You will report to the President of Space and Defense Group, and will be a key member of the SDG Leadership Team.

Summary:

The Group Vice President of Power and Data will lead the formulation, alignment and execution of the division's strategic vision while ensuring alignment with other group and enterprise strategies. The Group Vice President of Power and Data will own and oversee the division's profit and loss through the monitoring and management of the division's budget, long range plan, financial commitments and allocation of resources while ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded. As a key member of the Space and Defense Group Leadership Team, you will further impact the financial outcome of the group and its people resources by contributing to growth strategies, shaping business initiatives, and influencing talent strategies. Set milestones, monitor projects, and adjust the strategy as needed.

As the GVP, Power and Data, you will:

  • Develop and execute a well-articulated growth and profitability strategic vision for the Division and each business unit leveraging competitive advantages to bring life through use of strategic enablers and other innovative new business models such as Lean, Quality First, Horizon 2/3 and 80/20.

  • Ensure the leadership team across all functions of the organization is staffed with high-performing leaders through talent reviews, coaching and alignment of performance expectations to deliver outstanding results in a values-based culture.

  • Lead the coordination and delivery of annual budget planning, forecasting, quarterly business reviews, and monthly financial updates. Articulate the business's performance against these commitments and plans throughout the fiscal year through presentation updates to Moog's executive leadership team.

  • Develop strong relationships with key Defense and Space industry customers, suppliers, and government representatives through frequent engagements to ensure current programs meet expectations and new opportunities are identified early.

  • Actively contribute and participate in strategic decision-making and management of the Group. Cultivate positive working relationships across various groups within the company.

  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, engage while presenting, influence, handle disagreements constructively and actively listen.

Salary Range Transparency:

Blacksburg, VA $270,000.00-$325,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
