Thales Defense & Security, Inc. is currently seeking a team player to fill an Associate Materials Handler role at our Clarksburg, Maryland Campus. This role reports to the Manager of Materials/Stockroom.



Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inventory maintenance work with speed and accuracy.
  • Perform transactions in MRP system.
  • Cycle counting and making proper adjustments.
  • Assist in Recording and maintaining control of inventory items purchased and produced.
  • Ensures compliance with established internal control.
  • Pick-up and deliver parts, equipment and materials using and driving Company truck.
  • Load truck and deliver equipment and materials to sites.
  • Pulls material for kits and/or shipping.
  • Coordinate with the Material Handlers, Production Control Planner, Stock room, Quality, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure a consistent flow of product through the factory in support of all delivery schedules.


Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required. - Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Must meet training and certificate requirements for working in a TSA shipping/receiving facility.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing/stockroom environment.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions - Fluency in English required.
  • Experience with computers and the ability to work with numbers to perform accurate detailed counts of materials.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record to drive Company vehicles.
  • Good work habits - detail oriented, time management, attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to stand, climb, load, bend etc. to perform the responsibilities of position safely.
  • Ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods of time. Regularly lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance and occasionally 75 lbs with assistance.
  • Knowledge of a MRP system (SAP a plus).
  • Ability to comply with all Company guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace Company Core Values.

The hourly pay range for this role is $ 21.00-$ 24.15 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 3%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above. TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
