Tactical Evacuation Abstractor (Analyst) This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered. The Tactical Evacuation Abstractor (Analyst) is responsible for collecting, verifying, and entering trauma patient data related to evacuations from the Point of Injury (POI) to various levels of care, following DoD trauma registry guidelines. They collaborate with the JTS Chief and Chief Data Scientist to develop and implement action plans for the TACEVAC process, ensuring data accuracy and quality. This role includes overseeing critical medical records such as Patient Care Records (PCRs) and Patient Movement Records (PMRs), ensuring all documentation is processed and securely stored in the DoD Theater Medical Data Store (TMDS). The Abstractor also monitors and reports on TACEVAC productivity, identifying issues and ensuring the timely dissemination of reports and data. In addition, they maintain compliance with security procedures for classified information and assist in various tasks related to room and container security as directed by the SIPR Room Lead. Tactical Evacuation Abstractor (Analyst) Responsibilities Include:
- The Abstractor will collect comprehensive, accurate data relating to trauma patients evacuated from Point of Injury (POI) to different levels of care by abstracting all ACEVAC flight data, verify and update all information compiled and enter data into the application Prehospital/Arrival Transport Data Fields utilizing the JTS DoDTR Business Rules.
- They will assist in facilitating the development and implementation of action plans related to TACEVAC process events across the continuum of care in collaboration with the JTS Chief and Chief Data Scientist.
- They will be the DoD Point of Contact (POC) for all Patient Care Records (PCRs), Patient Movement Records (PMRs), Joint Personnel Status (JPERSTAT), Defense Casualty Information Processing System (DCIPS), Commander's Reports, and other personnel rosters related to medical completed in all Area of Responsibility's (AORs) throughout the different Combatant Commands (CoCOMS). These critical documents will be reviewed, processed, and scanned into the DoD Theater Medical Data Store (TMDS) as well as the library maintained within the JTS.
- The Abstractor provides Quality Assurance (QA) on data and spreadsheets. Monitor and provide quarterly status reports on TACEVAC productivity, data quality, problems, and issues in order to ensure efficient and effective performance. Reports provided to JTS Chief.
- The Abstractor retrieves data from TACEVAC database(s) as needed for research and training. Submits data files as appropriate to de-classification authority for availability as unclassified data. Generates, validates, and disseminates TACEVAC reports as directed. Data available within 1 month of request date.
- The Abstractor collects, reviews, and logs all Request for Information (RFIs) for DoD Trauma Registry data into JTSM.
- They will assist SIPR Room Lead as directed to open/close wall combination locks at the beginning/end of each shift in room 283-12 located on the 2nd floor in building BHT-1. The Contractor shall assist SIPR Room Lead as directed to open/close GSA containers at the beginning/end of each shift in room 283-12. They will assist SIPR Room Lead as directed to place/remove classified drives into classified computers at the beginning/end of each shift and as needed in room 283-12. They will assist SIPR Room Lead as directed to ensure all GSA containers are secure prior to departing room 283-12 for the day. The Abstractor will assist SIPR Room Lead as directed to document security checks on the corresponding forms to ensure classified information and materials are properly secured, and set up and operate SVTC per policies and procedures. They will report any security violations immediately to leadership.

- Masters Degree
- Four (4) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
