POSITION
SUMMARY:

The Assistant Superintendent provides on-site
administrative and technical management through planning, coordination, and
supervision of craft employees and trade contractors to ensure the project is
constructed in a safe and organized manner. This position must demonstrate
strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have a
strong communication and client service skills.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • All
    qualities/responsibilities of a Field Engineer 2, plus:
  • Supports/assists in implementation of Operation Zero
    and all Manhattan safety policies.
  • Participates and executes roles assigned to help create
    an Injury-Free Environment through own actions.
  • Assists in development and maintenance of site
    logistics plan, in coordination with Project team.
  • Assists in day-to-day on-site supervision of field
    labor force.
  • Assists in coordination of site testing and
    inspections.
  • Assists in development/coordination/execution of
    Safety, Hazcom, SWPPP, QA/QC plan, etc
  • Attend and participate in project meetings, including
    but not limited to preconstruction, preinstallation, subcontractor, owner
    and safety.
  • Assist in development/communication and maintenance of
    project schedule.
  • Assist in the creation of daily reports and report
    quantities.
  • Assist project team as required.
  • Responsible for conducting
    themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibiting

  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or
    equivalent. May substitute required education degree with related
    experience on a one-to-one basis
  • 4-6 years of industry experience

WORKING
CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS:

  • You must be adaptable to all types of weather conditions and traverse and inspect all areas of a construction job site, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day.
  • Ability to repeat the same movements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.
  • Ability to compose, send, and reply to emails and written correspondence.
  • Must be able to lift, pull, or move up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Travel may be required occasionally, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver's License).
  • Exposure
    to characteristic construction site hazards.
