Space Planning Specialist (Contract Position)

Contract length: 6 months

Pay range: $45-$50.90/HR

Location: Culver City, CA

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Space Planning Specialist to support our client in managing and optimizing creative workspaces across global studio locations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how physical environments can impact creative teams' ability to innovate, and will bring a disciplined, yet flexible approach to space planning and coordination.

You will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of various space planning initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cultural requirements. A passion for organization, strong communication skills, and a knack for problem-solving are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with program leads to gather space needs from teams and ensure alignment with long-term workplace strategy.
  • Support space forecasting efforts on a quarterly basis.
  • Maintain up-to-date digital floor maps for studio locations.
  • Address day-to-day seating issues and troubleshooting, managing logistical challenges as they arise.
  • Navigate competing priorities and facilitate negotiations between teams.
  • Manage Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC) requests in collaboration with facilities teams.
  • Ensure all space-related changes are documented and communicated to impacted parties.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and escalate as needed for timely resolution.
  • Assist in managing occupancy plans, headcount projections, and provide reports to stakeholders.
  • Analyze and interpret large data sets, producing ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage relocations, developing project plans and ensuring smooth execution of group moves, including timing, phasing, and related logistics.


Key Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in coordination, project management, or space planning for creative spaces.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and informal work environment.
  • Ability to handle complex problems and negotiate trade-offs effectively.
  • A service-oriented approach with a focus on delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions.
  • Passion for continuous improvement in processes and tools to optimize work environments.
  • Familiarity with workplace management solutions, such as Tririga, is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret large data sets and make data-driven decisions.


Education:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience.
