Maintenance Technician 3 - 3rd Shift

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Effectively diagnose mechanical, electrical, network, and computer hardware/software in assigned area (facility, machinery, equipment, etc.). Make timely and accurate repairs, as necessary, during production. Utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment.
• Preventative Maintenance: Inspect machinery for potential problems on a daily basis. Documents problems and schedules work/repairs as appropriate. Respond to all assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner. Responsible for performing preventive maintenance (PM) activities in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan. These activities will be recorded using proper PM sheets.
• Production Support: Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance requests on the production floor. Train production technicians in the proper set-up and copy troubleshooting techniques. Provide training and assistance to production technicians as needed to help maximize production output and minimize downtime through the utilization of proper production techniques and handling practices.
• Administrative: Perform inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory. Inform Supervisor of parts and equipment used from inventory. Record maintenance activities using the proper computer application or paperwork. Provide training and coaching to new maintenance technicians and inspect their work.
• Housekeeping/Other: Perform housekeeping duties required of maintenance staff including work area clean-up, machine, and equipment clean-up, sweeping up after clean-up and various other general housekeeping duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Vocational / Technical Degree in Electromechanical or Machine Automation (Preferred)
• Associates Degree (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years related electro-mechanical experience
• Detailed knowledge of Industrial mechanical and electrical machines and systems.
• Computer hardware and software, specifically industrial controls and related I/O's.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Able to identify and perform Level A, B, & C equipment preventive maintenance.
• Able to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations/requirements.
• Able to read and understand schematics/blueprints.
• Must demonstrate good time management skills.
• Ability to retain knowledge of procedures and processes and understand complex instructions.
• Willingness to attend training classes to learn or enhance skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate area, circumference, volume, etc.
• Service-oriented personality.
• Ability to work independently on nights and weekend shifts.
• Ability to work a schedule with call-in and overtime duties.
• Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language.

The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $34.00- $38.00/ hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
