DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will take on semi-skilled manual labor focused on constructing and maintaining the Parker Dam State Park Complex. You will expertly clean and maintain multiple restroom and shower facilities in the day-use and campground areas while conducting routine litter pickups to keep the park pristine. Additionally, you will confidently manage turf and landscape needs, including mowing, trimming, using chainsaws, controlling invasive plants, and preparing and seeding sites. You will also support maintenance personnel in various construction and repair projects, clean grills, sweep paved areas, and skillfully dig and maintain drainage systems. Your commitment to caring for and cleaning all vehicles and equipment used throughout the park will ensure everything operates efficiently and effectively.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Seasonal Full-time employment without benefits.
  • Shift hours and days vary due to operational need, with a 30-minute lunch
  • Weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
