JOB DESCRIPTION: NTN Driveshaft, a world leader in constant velocity technology for the automotive industry, is currently seeking a qualified Production Control Scheduler for our Columbus, Indiana operations. NTN currently has over 2000 employees working in our Columbus operation and customer demand for our product is growing rapidly. NTN Driveshaft manufactures Constant Velocity Joints (CVJs) for all of the major automotive companies. These customers include Honda, Ford, Toyota, GM, Chrysler and most other automotive OEMs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzes, plans, and follows up on scheduling of multiple types machinery and processes of production to meet customer demands and delivery requirements.
- Reviews production plan to identify risks and communicates to the Production Control Manager, Production and other support groups as needed.
- Plans production to meet inventory levels to avoid any shortages and excesses.
- Plans and monitors material movement in production to ensure continuous operations.
- Makes continuous improvements for inventory and production control systems to meet target control objectives.
- Analyzes customer orders and establishes production schedules for timely delivery.
- Inputs customer orders into ERP system.
- Investigates planning problems, analyzes root causes and derives solutions.
- Understands equipment routings, part lists, and manpower requirements.
- Monitors production and adjusts the schedule for timely delivery.
- Coordinates and cooperates with Production, Engineering, and Production Control to achieve scheduling goals.
- Negotiates order deliveries with customers based on equipment capacity and material availability.
- Communicates with customers on routine basis.
- Cycle counts parts.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:
- Bachelor's Degree from four-year college; or two to four years related experience/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of relevant planning experience preferred.
- Previous experience with ERP/MRP system preferred.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards a plus.
- Strong computer and math skills, experience with Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare documentation and make presentations.
- Ability to work well cross-functionally and communicate with internal and external parties.
- Ability to multi-task, organize, plan, and prioritize duties in order to meet multiple overlapping and competing deadlines and strict timelines.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including ability to collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and recommend effective correction action.
- Strong attention to detail, strict attention to safety.
- Previous experience in automotive manufacturing or in a multi-cultural environment a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computers for documentation and communication.
- Comfort in Industrial Environments:
- Will often work in noisy, high-energy environments where they must wear protective gear (e.g., safety glasses, hard hats, gloves, ear protection).
- Must be comfortable working in hot, cold, or sometimes hazardous environments, depending on the industry (e.g., chemicals, metals, electronics, exposure to dust).
