This role supports our fast-growing Surgical division, located in Austin, TX, with over 70,000 sq. ft of manufacturing and distribution space, which focuses on providing best-in-class, patient-focused solutions for total joint arthroplasty.

Business Unit Description:

Partnerships with key surgeon consultants help provide advanced and proprietary patented solutions, including EMPOWR 3D Knee, the only dual-pivot knee system on the market, and AltiVate Reverse Shoulder, a market-leading system, based on the design principles of the RSP Shoulder, which has demonstrated excellent clinical outcomes at 10 years.

Enovis Surgical offers surgeons and their patients a full range of primary and revision implants for hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow reconstructive joint surgeries, in addition to the tools and digital health technology needed in today's changing healthcare environment.

Job Title/High Level Position Summary:

Enovis is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our team and support the ARVIS (Augmented Reality Visualization and Information System) product line. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and precision in the manufacturing process, including receiving inspections, system calibration, inventory control, and workspace management. This role plays a critical part in maintaining regulatory compliance and delivering exceptional products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving Inspection of Orthopedic Instruments:

  • Verify dimensional tolerances to ensure compliance with specifications.

  • Ensure inspections meet quality standards critical to system performance.

  • Receiving Inspection of Instrument Trays

  • Perform thorough inspections of instrument trays to guarantee they meet quality and design specifications.

  • Perform precise system calibrations to ensure optimal system performance.

  • Recognize that improper calibration can lead to customer complaints and regulatory issues; therefore, attention to detail is paramount.

  • Inventory Control of Critical Navigation and Instrument Sets:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee the organization of critical navigation and instrument sets.

  • Ensure all inventory is readily accessible and complies with operational requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs) and other operational issues.

  • Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance overall manufacturing processes.

  • Oversee and maintain designated areas for prototype development, calibration, and inventory management.

  • Ensure workspaces are clean, organized, and meet safety and regulatory standards.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality control role, preferably in the medical device industry.

  • Proficiency in dimensional measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).

  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and quality control processes.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Travel Requirements:

  • <5% of travel required

Desired Characteristics:

  • Previous experience in a regulated environment, Aerospace, Medical Technology, Pharmaceutical

  • Working knowledge and requirements of ISO 13485
