The hourly range for this role, based in Fort Smith is $18.00 to $22.50. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries Hourly Rates are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary

To operate assigned bottling equipment. To assure consistent product quality, minimize waste, maintain a safe and clean work environment and maximize equipment effectiveness. Please note that some individuals may be tasked with specialized duties (such as Dry Supplies or Change Parts) and so may have additional job functions in place of or in addition to those list below, but that these individuals fall under the same pay scale and general expectations as any other employee classified as an Operator, and can be used as a "standard" Operator at any time.

Accountabilities

  • Safely operate one or more of the following machines or combination of machines: depalletizer, unloader, cleaner, filler, capper, labeler, lot coder, case packer, case coder, palletizer. Tag and report all equipment defects on machinery and assist with repairs as needed. Utilize component reconciliation process completely and correctly to prevent excessive inventory variances.
  • Safely and efficiently operate equipment at performance level defined for each task
  • Perform changeovers as required for each piece of machinery. Ensure machine functions correctly at budgeted efficiency once changeover is complete.
  • Safely and efficiently changeover from one package to another
  • Perform on-line quality checks as specified in work instructions.
  • On-line quality checks executed and documented. Monitoring records completed on time. Any deviations reported to team lead.
  • Observe good manufacturing practices, good housekeeping and follow all safety rules as required. Wear all safety equipment, like eye protection, ear protection, and safety shoes, etc as required.
  • Safety and cleaning checks are done, all measures must remain below performance guidelines.
  • Support the Pernod Ricard Safety Culture initiative and report any safety risk or concerns to department management.
  • Must follow written PPE requirements and abide by all safety guidelines outlined in procedures and work instructions.
  • Employees are required to report all accidents, incidents, and near-misses immediately. These would include all non-disabling and disabling injuries and occupational illnesses, fatalities, fires, and explosions, property damage, chemical spills, and any incident having the potential for property damage or personal injury.
  • Achieve the corporate objective on lost time accident.

Requirements

- Education:

  • High School or equivalent is preferred

- Experience/Background:

  • Manufacturing/Mechanical

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a general production area and/or office environment with regular demands for moving, lifting/carrying/lowering up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, climbing, and pushing. Normal visual, hearing and language acuity required for correspondence and computer usage.
