PROJECT ACCOUNTING MANAGER - CONSTRUCTION

We are currently seeking a Project Accounting Manager to lead a high-performing accounting team that supports transformative real estate developments across the country.

This is more than just a numbers role - it's a chance to shape communities, streamline projects, and play a pivotal role in how we deliver excellence in affordable and workforce housing.

What You'll Do:


  • Leading a talented team of Accounts Payable professionals and Project Accountants (team of 8)
  • Overseeing draw submissions and the monthly draw cycle across multiple national projects
  • Managing job cost reconciliation, AP, AR, general ledger, and the flow of funds
  • Driving timely and accurate invoice processing, payments, and lien waiver tracking
  • Preparing cost certifications, tax credit documentation, and managing soft funding sources
  • Leading project sourcing, bank reconciliations, inter-company invoicing, and more
  • Collaborating with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations


What You Bring:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project or construction accounting (tax credit experience a plus)
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and accounting systems (RealPage preferred)
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
