The Asset & Wealth Management Strategic Transformation Office (STO) is tasked with overseeing comprehensive large-scale transformations. Our primary objectives are to enhance scalability, drive revenue growth, improve client experience, and elevate controls to optimize our operating platform. This group comprises of four critical functions, including (1) Product Management & Design, (2) Change Management, (3) Regulatory Management, and (4) Monitoring & Testing.

The Product Management & Design team is looking for a Product Manager to support the Client and Portfolio Servicing platforms focused on the Wealth Investment Solutions (WIS) business, and will be responsible for partnering with Portfolio Managers and Investment Operations teams to rapidly develop and launch new investment solutions and refine existing solutions at scale. They will also be responsible for supporting the product vision and oversee the development, enhancement, and management of the client & portfolio servicing platform for WIS, including front-to-back functions such as portfolio set up, account readiness, trading readiness, post trade lifecycle management, and several other critical capabilities required to enhance operational efficiency, manage risks effectively, and drive investment decisions.

The role works collaboratively with the leadership across the Investment teams, Sales & Distribution, Client Services, Operations and Technology organizations to deliver a robust and comprehensive strategy ensuring competitive advantage and addressing internal stakeholders and client needs. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of investment products and investment operations within the financial services industry, preferably for the asset management business.

This is a high visibility role, interfacing with business leaders and will require creativity and drive to deliver on the ambitious goals and roadmap.

About WIS:

The Wealth Investment Solutions (WIS) team within Goldman Sachs Asset Management manages over $375bn in assets across 80,000+ customized portfolios for individual as well as institutional investors across the wealth spectrum. WIS designs and manages personalized investment solutions for individual investment objectives, including tax-managed, factor-based and value aligned strategies across the Equity and Fixed Income asset classes. The goal of the WIS business is to become the essential solutions provider and partner of choice to wealth advisors across the industry by developing investment products that solve for client needs and help scale the practices of advisors.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential:



  • Develop the product strategy and roadmap based on a deep understanding of business drivers, competition, and stakeholder needs.
  • Own the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond, including management of product development, feature prioritization, release planning, and ongoing product maintenance.
  • Break down complex problems and processes into feature components that drive product development and platform extensibility.
  • Define, document, and prioritize product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide the development process and ensure clear communication between stakeholders.
  • Partner with a team of product managers to identify cross-product opportunities and to ensure all problems considered within the context of the target state product architecture.
  • Design and monitor business metrics related to product usage, adoption, and client satisfaction, and establish a feedback loop informing strategic and prioritization-related decisions.



You will be successful in this role if you have had proven experience with:



  • Launching new investment solutions or strategies eg. Options, ETF, SMAs on the front-to-back operating platform.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams, from presenting conceptual ideas to execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and communicate within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to work and deliver results independently, a self-starter with an ability to get in the details where necessary.
  • Leading the definition of requirements and test cases for Engineering and QA.
  • Ability to partner and drive results with third party vendors.
  • Solving business solutions at scale with technology.



Qualifications:



  • Proven experience (10+ years) in product management within the financial services industry, specifically within asset management.
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in relevant fields is preferred.
  • Prior experience/understanding of financial instruments and products, preferably SMA and Options.
  • Prior experience/understanding of Investment Operations (ideally within the Asset Management business)
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality investment products at scale
  • Experience with all stages of the development lifecycle: inception, analysis, design, review, testing, and deployment leveraging agile development methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional teams, managing complex projects, and delivering software solutions on schedule and within budget.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience working directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
