Job Overview The Senior Director, Food & Beverage will be responsible for all Bloomingdale's food and beverage operations in the portfolio as well as developing a clear vision for integration into the retail environment. These responsibilities include advising on third party and leased partners in the food and beverage space. The Senior Director will lead a team to ensure day to day operations, team development, and the delivery of a brand experience to drive foot traffic and increase dwell time. This position reports to the Director of Stores. Essential Functions
- Responsible for P&L results and key performance indicators for the Food & Beverage division
- Responsible for all Food & Beverage matters, including concept development, restaurant operations, and external partnerships
- Partner with Store teams to ensure the integration of our Food & Beverage division into the customer experience
- Cultivate a customer centric culture; be a vocal advocate for needed improvements to support the in-store customer experience
- Collaborate with Central partners to localize concepts, menus, and environments to the store customer
- Effectively communicate priorities information to ensure leadership is aligned and equipped to maximize opportunities
- Set clear expectations for leadership behavior and accountability for results; empower others to make decisions
- Lead by example as an active coach, providing ongoing feedback and guidance
- Develop and ensure execution of process standards to deliver consistent results and ensure financial success
- Ensure that sanitation and maintenance standards are met
- Work with Asset Management team to ensure proper R&M as well as coordination of upgrades,
Qualifications & Competencies
- BA or BS Degree, preferably in Culinary Arts
- 10+ years of multi-unit full-service restaurant or high-end retail food management experience
- Entrepreneurial mindset. Forward thinking
- Customer experience orientation
- Understanding of P&L statements, inventory systems, receiving protocols and business financial reporting
- Working understanding of food and supply cost and controls, including labor cost and controls
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to work, influence across functional lines and at many levels. Extensive experience leading in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to present information in all situations, and all levels of internal and external business partners. High level of confidence
- Strong collaboration and relationship orientation: Ability to build partnerships with key business stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage smarter decision-making across our organization. Collaboration skills are critical
- Ability to effectively plan, execute strategies, and juggle multiple projects - can identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize tasks, and communicate timeline and actions needed to stakeholders. Ability to monitor and maneuver workflow to achieve priorities.
