Description: NSI requires a Graphics Designer/Social Media Manager/Technical Writer to support the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Defense Exports & Cooperation (DASA DE&C) program office. This candidate will be responsible for creating visually stunning content, managing social media platforms, crafting clear and compelling written materials, and capturing high-quality photography to enhance brand storytelling. This role is perfect for a creative professional with a strong eye for design, a passion for digital engagement, and a knack for translating complex ideas into accessible content.
Key Responsibilities: Graphic Design & Photography (40%) * Design visually compelling graphics, infographics, presentations, reports, and marketing materials. * Develop and maintain brand identity, ensuring consistency across all digital and print assets. * Capture high-quality photographs for use in marketing, social media, and corporate materials. * Edit photos and create visual assets using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom). * Assist in the development of video and multimedia content, including animations and motion graphics. Social Media Management (30%) * Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to drive engagement and brand awareness. * Create, schedule, and manage social media content across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, etc.). * Monitor social media performance and analytics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. * Engage with online communities, respond to comments/messages, and build brand loyalty. * Stay ahead of social media trends and incorporate new strategies to enhance digital presence. Technical Writing & Content Development (30%) * Write, edit, and format technical documents, reports, blog posts, product descriptions, and press releases. * Translate complex concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible content for various audiences. * Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop content that aligns with brand messaging and industry standards. * Ensure accuracy, consistency, and professionalism in all written materials. * Proofread and fact-check all content before publication. Location: Arlington, VA Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Experience: At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in graphic design, social media management, and technical writing. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom), Canva, and other design tools. Experience with photography, including shooting, editing, and managing visual assets. Strong knowledge of social media platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills: * Experience with video editing and motion graphics. * Familiarity with WordPress, HTML, or other content management systems. * Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., technology, fashion, healthcare, etc.]. * Basic knowledge of SEO and digital marketing strategies. Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
