POSITION: Manager, International Tax

LOCATION: Alpharetta, GA

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Manager, International Tax will be responsible for managing non-US and U.S. international tax compliance and audit defense in accordance with jurisdictional regulatory filing requirements. He or she will also support global tax reporting in accordance with ASC 740 requirements and possess a strong understanding of tax technical laws, rules and regulations which are often dynamic and varied among jurisdictions. Whether the company is engaged in a merger or acquisition, maintaining compliance with multi-jurisdictional business transactions, or streamlining multi-national supply chain, the Manager, International Tax will concentrate efforts on global compliance, research, planning and audit matters. This position also requires close collaboration with other members of the Company's Finance Department, as well as assistance with management of external service providers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the fulfilment of U.S. international tax compliance requirements to achieve the most efficient, strategically effective, and defensible tax filings through quality review and meeting all internal deadlines.
  • Manage the preparation and review of the global quarterly and annual tax reporting requirements in accordance with ASC 740 requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate international aspects of U.S. tax audits and foreign income tax audit coordination.
  • Serve as a primary interface between the corporate tax department and its international and domestic subsidiaries (business units) on all non-US and U.S. international tax matters: governance/compliance, tax expense and cash tax planning.
  • Manage the monitoring of global tax legislative changes, lead technical analysis and perform tax research and documentation as necessary for U.S. international and local country tax matters.
  • Work with outside tax consultants on corporate tax reporting matters and compliance to ensure that department costs are controlled within budget or project plans with the objective of minimizing costs while providing quality services to our customers.
  • Adhere to sound business procedures and systems used by the Company to ensure that all tax reporting and management control requirements are met.
  • Support the Company's program for strong central financial control by reporting discrepancies in compliance of Corporate Financial Policies or Instructions with recommendations to ensure full compliance.
  • Responsibilities include continuous process improvements in the tax provision and compliance areas.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate the execution of U.S. international and local country tax planning opportunities and projects, including earnings reinvestment and dividend planning, cash repatriation management and other multi-functional transactions or projects as needed.
  • Support global M&A, including pre-acquisition structuring analysis, due diligence documentation and post-acquisition integration.
  • Additional duties as required.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Prefer 7+ years of corporate tax experience with a strong foundation in US International compliance, planning, audit and tax accounting.
  • Open to consider 5+ years with a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Bachelors in Accounting and CPA required. Graduate degree preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Preference for professional services experience or corporate in-house with a multinational Company.
  • Prefer demonstrated knowledge of US International, local country as well as Federal and State tax laws and regulations including treaty benefits, transfer pricing, indirect tax, credits and other tax implications.
  • Excellent research skills and strong written and verbal communications skills required
  • Solid knowledge of ACS 740 and other tax-related reporting rules, including adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage tax activities across multiple locations/countries and interact with tax staff and global business units across different functional teams and other support service functions professionally and as a team player
  • Proven skill set in different tax applications, utilization, planning and coordination
  • Expertise in the areas of accounting consolidation and general ledger applications, tax work papers and documentation, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills and general Microsoft office and outlook applications, as well as proficiency with tax reporting platforms desired.
  • Strong project management and presentation skills required
  • Operate professionally with the highest level of ethics and integrity at all times
  • Ability to work with information that is highly confidential
  • Successfully support functional and operating unit leaders to understand and improve tax results on a sustainable basis
