Position summary:

Boiler water chemistry program management and support for the Neil Simpson Complex.

Pay Range: $71,100 - $106,600(This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.)

Reporting Relationship: Operations Manager

Location: Gillette, Wyoming

Relocation Assistance: Relocation assistance is available based on individual circumstances! Details to be shared during the offer process.

Essential Functions:
* Site management and expert of boiler water chemistry programs.
* Train operators to operate and monitor water/chemistry equipment and instrumentation.
* Manage, operate and troubleshoot a RO/Demineralization facility.
* Calibrate and repair chemistry related instruments and meters as needed.
* Write, schedule, and perform PMs on all chemistry and water treatment analyzers and equipment.
* Audit operator chemistry testing.
* Respond and provide support to operations in the evening and weekend as needed.
* Manage all water treatment chemical inventories, deliveries, and pumping systems.
* Maintain logs and reports relating to chemistry programs and site water consumption.
* Maintain logs and reports relating to site water consumption.
* Generate and manage operations and designated agency reports.

Additional Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate site chemistry studies as designated.
* Provide on-site chemistry, chemical safety and chemical handling training.
* Provide support to other BHP facilities as may be designated.

What Is Required:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of (4) four years of experience with water/power plant chemistry, water treatment monitoring and analytical equipment or working in an industrial plant is required.

What Is Desired:
* Coal fired utility chemistry and chemistry management desirable
* SDA and mercury control chemistry experience preferred.
* Portable water plant and water plant management experience preferred.
* Mechanical/maintenance experience associated with pumps and pump repair.
* Mechanical/maintenance experience associated with instrument and controls.
* Experience data acquisition systems and reporting.
* Strong communication skills including oral and written.
