Function The Segment Sales Representative will play a fundamental role in driving Viracon's gross sales and potential profit opportunity within a specific project segment. Your direct responsibility will be the promotion and sales of all Viracon fabricated glass products to new and existing customers. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, as well as maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients. Your success in this position will be measured by your ability to achieve sales targets, expand our customer base, and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the company.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Viracon's product offerings.

  • This includes familiarizing yourself with capabilities, competitive advantages, and staying up to date on new and future Viracon offerings.

  • Understand Viracon sales processes, techniques, and goals to effectively contribute to the overall sales strategy and drive business growth.

  • Execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and grow revenue within the assigned segment.

  • Revise quotations and negotiate project-specific pricing under the direction of the Sales Leadership team.

  • Utilize all available technical tools, including Viper, Microsoft Office products, the Freight Calculator, the Intranet, and other standard Viracon databases. Pursue quoted projects with follow-up communications and by conducting cold calls to potential customers.

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with Inside Sales and Field Sales teams.

  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify strategic opportunities and promote sales.

  • Assist in resolving customer issues related to product noncompliance or quality inconsistencies in coordination with sales leadership to minimize Viracon's exposure and maintain customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain and update a monthly forecast database for all quoted, won, and lost projects.

  • Complete and submit required monthly reports.

  • Perform duties in accordance with Viracon's Business Process Documentation.

  • Carry out additional duties, responsibilities, and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in sales, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience, plus a combination of 1-2 years of sales and estimating experience is required.

  • Possess quality time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Ability to work with all departments within the Viracon organization.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually.

  • Ability to take supervision.

  • Regular, full-time attendance.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • Ability to read, write and understand work instructions. (English)

Compensation

  • Pay Range
    • $68,018-$77,900
