As a Threat Analyst I on the Cyber Security Threat Operations team, you will be the first line of defense in identifying and responding to potential security incidents. You will play a critical role in monitoring our systems, analyzing threats, and escalating issues to ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of our data and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security alerts from various sources, including EDR, SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and other security platforms
  • Perform initial analysis and triage of security events to determine their severity and impact
  • Escalate complex incidents and provide relevant data and context
  • Assist in the configuration of security tools and solutions
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of security events, actions taken, and resolutions
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are followed
  • Provide support for security audits and compliance efforts
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber threat trends and security technologies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or IT role, preferably in a monitoring or support capacity
  • Basic understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common cyber threat vectors
  • Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, SSCP, GSEC, or similar
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • Deeply passionate about and engaged in core cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Familiarity with identity and access management concepts
  • Awareness of current trends in endpoint security and threat landscapes
  • Interest in cloud security concepts and practices
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to endpoint management (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS)
  • Experience with or interest in security automation and orchestration
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and management in an IT environment
  • Thorough understanding of incident response processes and procedures
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging security technologies and threats

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $78,943.00-$110,519.85
