Moultrie is looking to add a Software Architect to its backend infrastructure team. This position will be focused on implementing new features and creating solutions for the Moultrie platform. As a team member, you will be accountable for implementing improvements based on best practices in a manner that is maintainable, scalable, testable, and works within the continuous delivery pipeline. You will also be working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Service, Marketing, and other departments to ensure the completion of visions and timelines set by the business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver high quality multi-platform projects using Microsoft development frameworks
  • Demonstrate highly effective approaches to object-oriented software development based on industry best practices
  • Design, build, test and maintain scalable, secure, and testable code
  • Create programming documentation and maintain existing documentation
  • Unit testing
  • Work with the dev team, product owners, and stakeholders to get clarification on business requirements, break down large problems into small workable chunks and then implement solutions including code development and database design
  • Monitor and support Moultrie Mobile production cloud infrastructure
  • Stay abreast in the latest industry best practices, tools, and patterns
  • Assist in resolving critical production issues
  • Mentor new and more junior team members

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field (or equivalent years' work experience)
  • Has led complex business critical projects
  • 15+ years of software development experience
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in following:
    • .NET framework and/or .NET core
    • SQL Server
    • Entity Framework
    • Knowledge of common design patterns (Inversion of Control, Dependency Injection, etc.)
    • Cloud experience
  • Also, hands on experience with:
    • Azure DevOps
    • Event/Message based architecture
    • Unit Testing
    • Mobile or Restful API development

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Azure functions or AWS Lambdas
  • Experience with high use, highly scalable web applications
  • Experience with CI/CD
