Overview
The Fort Worth Market President is responsible for developing, implementing, and successfully achieving organizational and fiscal objectives for the sustainable growth and long-term success of the market. This role provides strategic leadership to develop and motivate a high performing team; impacts business drivers such as relationship, account administration and business unit budgets; and works with internal business partners to cross-sell a full suite of complimentary products and services to clients. The Bank President also directly oversees commercial and the retail banking teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategic plan for increasing and driving performance of commercial loans.
- Maximizes loan and deposit growth through effective planning, development, and implementation of strategies.
- Identifies and develops long-term strategies that include portfolio mix and market-penetration objectives.
- Develop and manage lending, sales, and marketing programs to meet established objectives and provide maximum profitability with an acceptable level of risk.
- Serve as the Bank's principal representative in the community; grow and sustain a favorable bank image in the community while developing a quality network of referral sources.
- Maintain knowledge of both competitor and partner products and services.
- Approve loans and exposures up to an amount so designated by the Board of Directors.
- Establish annual market budget and monitors performance to budget throughout the year; establish annual goals for lending programs, deposit programs, fee income. and initiate action to achieve established goals.
- Work with business partners to develop a coordinated and cohesive risk-taking strategy by line of business.
- Build relationships and ensure appropriate communication with all team members.
- Foster a results-oriented environment that safeguards accountability.
- Motivate, lead and coach a high performing team utilizing Strengths Based Leadership objectives.
- Attract, recruit, and retain market team members.
- Interacts with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.
- Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
- Represent the Bank in a highly professional manner.
- Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work.
- Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Reliable and predictable on-site attendance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive lending, credit and operational risk, and success growing loans, deposits and fee income are required.
- Ability to influence others with fact-based insights and by consistently providing credible challenges to others involved in the lending decision process.
- Ability to prioritize and execute on fewer-but-impactful process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to collect and analyze data, draw sound conclusions, and formulate recommendations that address critical variables.
- In-depth knowledge of banking laws and regulations with an emphasis on loan administration.
- Strong knowledge of financial services industry and current market conditions.
- Board level presentation skills.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and manage a strong team.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or accounting.
- MBA and/or Advanced Graduate School of Banking degree preferred.
