A Machine Shop Technician is essential to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of the Machine Shop equipment and tools. They play a crucial role in supporting NPI and smooth operation of the Machine Shop

Responsibilities



  • Fabricate high precision parts while collaborating closely with team members in a dynamic environment aligned with project priorities.
  • Program, Set up, operate, and tear down CNC Haas Mills, as well as manual mills and lathes.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments for inspection, including micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, bore gauges, and snap gauges.
  • Interpret technical drawings and CAD models proficiently, with familiarity in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Construct prototype components and assemblies to support product development.
  • Adapt production materials based on rework instructions as necessary.
  • Machine intricate parts from diverse metals and plastics.
  • Maintain equipment through proper lubrication and coolant management.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization in work areas.
  • Design and fabricate tooling for assembly, applications, or testing purposes.
  • Manage procurement of project materials and essential shop tools to ensure task completion.


Required Qualifications



  • CAD: Minimum 5 years of experience with SolidWorks.
  • CAM: Minimum 5 years of experience with Mastercam.
  • Machining: Minimum 10 years of combined experience in manual and CNC machining.
  • Extensive familiarity with GD&T, with at least 5 years of experience.
  • CNC programming: 5 to 10 years of experience.
  • To conform with U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorization from the U.S. Government.

The salary range for this role is $40.00 - $53.00 hourly, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
