What you'll do as the Power BI & Azure Data Architect:
As a Power BI & Azure Data Architect, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing our data infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with our Accounting, FP&A and Operations teams to ensure our data solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

Power BI & Reporting Responsibilities:
- Report and Dashboard Development: Design and build interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI to effectively present data insights for business decision-making.
- Power BI Administration: Oversee the Power BI service, managing workspaces, apps, and content packs to ensure efficient usage across teams.
- Data Model Design & Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain data models within Power BI, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data needs, and provide innovative, data-driven solutions.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI reports and queries through advanced data modeling and performance enhancement techniques.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of data sources, data models, and Power BI solutions for easy reference and troubleshooting.
- Technical Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement in Power BI practices.
- Trend Analysis: Stay current with the latest Power BI trends and technologies, recommending enhancements and new tools to drive innovation.
Azure Data Architecture & Integration Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture Design: Design and implement efficient data pipelines and architectures using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and other Azure services.
- Data Integration: Develop, monitor, and maintain data pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources (SQL databases, APIs, etc.) using Azure Data Factory, ensuring seamless data flow and integrity.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize data storage, retrieval, and cost efficiency within Azure SQL Database and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Automation & Monitoring: Automate data processes with Azure tools and Python scripting. Monitor data pipelines to ensure they operate effectively and troubleshoot any issues.
- Collaboration & Support: Partner with IT and business teams to translate business needs into efficient, scalable data architectures and solutions. Provide technical support during the deployment and maintenance of data applications.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data pipelines and architectures. Use Power BI to generate reports and dashboards that offer actionable insights for stakeholders.
What you will bring to the team:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing data models and visualizations in Power BI.
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other Azure data services.
- Expertise in optimizing Power BI reports and data pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Proficiency in data security protocols and ensuring compliance with ITGC requirements.
- Experience in automation and data pipeline monitoring using Azure tools and Python scripting.
- Strong collaboration skills with a track record of working across IT and business teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
