Job Purpose

The Program Manager is responsible with achieving financial, delivery, and customer satisfaction objectives. This role will support both production and design and development projects with an emphasis on both short-term and long-term strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Supports procurement and general program logistics as needed
* Maintains schedules and provides customer support for low maintenance programs
* Tracks CPI and SPI for cost plus programs
* Creates and maintains program financial forecasts
* Manages battery programs for recurring (build-to-print) orders and those with minor modifications to existing designs
* Creates and maintains program financial forecasts, schedules, action item lists, risk management, and deliverable tracking lists
* Participates in process improvements at the program management team level
* Captures and reviews lessons learned
* Provides strategic customer intelligence to 5-year plan
* Generates bid inputs to Business Development Team for cost, schedule, compliance, and risk

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Business or closely related discipline, or equivalent level of demonstrated knowledge acquired through experience and/or other training.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Engineering, Project Management, or Government Contract Administration or related environment .
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English and be comfortable presenting to audiences up to 20 people both virtually and in person.
  • Comfortable with general accounting principles and earned value management is preferable.
  • Experienced and comfortable with M.S. Office and Project applications.
  • Excellent organizational and reporting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Travel required less than 25%
