SOCIAL WORKER (CSW)

Certified Social Worker (Bachelor's Prepared) / Licensed or Provisional

The Certified Social Worker position is a Bachelor's Degree prepared specialist in the Behavioral Health hospital focusing on the mental health and emotional well-being of individuals, families, and groups. Participates with Licensed Therapists, Psychiatrists and other multi-disciplinary team members to assess, assist, and treat various mental health issues, providing therapeutic services and support to help clients navigate complex emotional and social challenges. Certified Social Workers work within our hospital and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for hospital patients.

Certified Social Worker Responsibilities & Duties
* Conduct measurement assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health needs
* Work with Therapists, Psychiatrists and other treatment professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
* Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions consistent with licensure
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
* Offer crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies and during treatment for crisis stabilization
* Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation of hospital treatment
* Advocate for patients' needs and connect them with appropriate resources
* Conduct psychoeducational workshops and support groups consistent with licensure
* Participate in case management, treatment planning and follow-up services
* Stay updated on the latest research and developments in mental health and social work

Certified Social Worker Qualifications & Skills
* Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to pass a robust background check & drug screen sufficient to work with mental health patients and their families
* Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) from an accredited program
* Active and Valid Wyoming Certified Social Worker (CSW) licensure (Provisional accepted)
* Experience working with diverse populations, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients
* Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to handle high-stress situations
* Familiarity with electronic health records and case management software
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
* Strong ethical standards and professional integrity
* Capability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficiency in written and verbal communication
* Commitment to continuing education and professional development
