Position Summary
The Director of Advertising will lead the university's overarching advertising strategy, driving awareness and engagement through traditional and digital paid media. This individual will play a critical role in setting and executing advertising plans to support enrollment goals and enhance the university's reputation across regional, national, and international markets. Reporting to the Executive Director of Enrollment Marketing, the director will oversee day-to-day paid media operations and agency relations with the university's media buying agency of record. The Director will work with schools, colleges, and business units across the institution to plan and manage advertising campaigns ensuring these efforts align with university objectives, maximize ROI, and reflect data-driven insights. The Director will ensure paid efforts are aligned with owned and earned strategies to support the more comprehensive integrated marketing communications approach. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, management, or a related field
* 5 years of experience in enrollment marketing, marketing management, or advertising
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities
* Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in marketing practices
* Expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, and analytics
* Experience working with CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, and content management systems
* Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that achieve measurable results
* Proven experience in creating and measuring marketing strategies; the ability to translate marketing data and analytics to inform and optimize campaign strategy
* Proven leader and collaborator who works to unify teams across functions
* Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy of work
* Superior organizational skills - must be able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
* Ability to quickly acclimate to different environments and openness to new processes and technologies
* Self-directed with a solutions-oriented attitude; values and inspires a positive work environment
* Ability to work within a continuous improvement environment; able to receive feedback with a positive attitude and a commitment to personal accountability
* Strong attention to detail and ability to utilize data and insights to determine decisions
* Ability to attend staff events as needed (including occasional nights and weekends)
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Aligns team strategy and deliverables with divisional objectives
* Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
* Strong ability to monitor the work of others, mentor staff, and manage performance through regular feedback

Preferred
* Master's Degree
* 5+ years of professional experience in higher education
