Overview

Milton CAT is growing our team of Business Analysts to help connect our business operations with our IT capabilities and vice versa. This Business Analyst will be an integral part of the Sales Operations team, working closely with employees to leverage available technology to improve the business, and assist in the configuration and rollout of the Sales aspects of our D365 ERP system upgrade.

Initially, a large portion of work will be on the D365 upgrade, working as part of a company-wide project team to ensure the Sales Operations workflows and processes are aligned with the system as it's developed. Once deployed, the BA will continue to interact with IT and Sales Ops to support ongoing system upgrades and initiatives, as well as deliver on any operational projects requiring IT support and involvement. Lastly, this role will learn the business and recommend improvement opportunities around departmental objectives such as further automation of the sales process, better utilization of data and improving our inventory mix of available equipment.

This position will be the point of contact for technical ERP support which includes in-depth knowledge of application functions and configuration options within the assigned business unit (Sales Operations).



Responsibilities

* Provide systems analysis, design, specifications, and development for all supported applications.
* Evaluates business processes, anticipates requirements, uncovers areas for improvement, and facilitates solution development and implementation.
* Participate with the quality assurance, technical services, operations, and application development staff to create work plans to support strategic initiatives, business plans and emerging business needs.
* Facilitate communications with operational department stakeholders and IT Department by participating in project team meetings.
* Identify, manage, and track business and technical objectives throughout the project's lifecycle.
* Maintain a strong understanding of business operations, priorities, and strategic objectives.
* Develop an understanding of technology integrations between different systems.
* Define requirements for data analytics and reporting for sales effectiveness or process governance.
* Act as primary department liaison between Sales and IT for relevant applications.



Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
* 3-5 years' related experience required, ideally as a Business Analyst or Project Manager.
* We're seeking idea-generators...curious, interested, eager learners that are not afraid to ask questions and challenge current processes, ideas and systems.
* Experience with ERP technology.
* Demonstrated aptitude to quickly learn business processes.
* Excellent documentation, organizational, communication skills.
* Proficient use of laptop and mobile technology with advanced utilization of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Ability to work with users at all levels within the organization.
* Occasional travel within New England and Upstate New York will be required.
