The Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Program Manager Sr. I) is a member of the MAA's senior management team and serves in an advisory capacity to the MAA Executive Director/CEO and other executive and senior management staff.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensuring that the MAA's civil rights programs are implemented in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Managing and supervising, ensuring the implementation, management, operation and program compliance of five distinct civil rights programs including the 1) Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) program (State), 2) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program (Federal), 3) Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) program (Federal ), 4) Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action programs (State and Federal), and 5) Title VI program (includes LEP, Environmental Justice and ADA) (Federal and State).
  • Implementing the MAA's ACDBE program for concession contracts, which includes setting ACDBE goals on designated revenue generating contracts, reviewing/drafting solicitation and contract language, evaluating and approving proposed ACDBE participation and contract compliance monitoring of complex, multi-year contracts in collaboration with the MAA's Office of Commercial Management (OCM) and the retail development firm contracted to lease and manage retail, food and beverage and service contracts.
  • Implementing the MAA's equal employment opportunity program, including the investigation and resolution of discrimination complaints, monitoring and approval of other agency actions relating to employment (recruitment/selection plans, interview questions, final selection packages, etc.).

This position is located at BWI Marshall Airport in Anne Arundel County, MD.


Qualifications

Preferred Qualifcation:

Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

EXPERIENCE: Eight (8) years of professional experience, managing and implementing various state and/or federal civil rights programs. Four years of this experience must include ensuring the implementation, management, and program compliance of *MBE/DBE Programs.

1. Candidates may substitute a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with additional relevant experience on a year for year basis.
