Job Mission
As an electrical engineer intern, you'll have the opportunity to work on high speed precision signal generation and data acquisition projects of the ASML eBeam products that will give you experience in these areas of electrical engineering. You'll also be able to network with other professionals in the field and learn from their experiences. This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology. Role and responsibilities* High speed (up to 1Gsps) precision (up to 16bits) analog signal chain sampling with DAC/ADC. * Circuit simulation and modeling. * Working with electrical engineers debugging and testing on the signal chain * Other duties as assigned Education and experience* Working towards a PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field * Coursework in electrical circuits, digital electronics, microprocessors, and/or power systems * Knowledge or experience with OP Amp, DAC/ADC * Experience with circuit simulation software, such as LTSpice or Tina * Experience with programming languages, such as Python or MATLAB * Knowledge and skills of the operation of lab equipment, including oscilloscope, function generator Skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Can learn and apply new information or skills. * Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy. * Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads. * Result driven-demonstrate ownership and accountability. * Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision. * Demonstrate open, clear, concise and professional communication. * Work according to a strict set of procedures within the provided timelines. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Other information* This position is located on-site in San Jose, CA. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation. * Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus. * Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. * Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
