Summary
Spire is seeking a Facilities Technician to work in the St. Louis, MO operation. This position will be responsible for maintaining Spire facilities by performing repairs, maintenance and additions to keep buildings, furniture, fixtures, equipment, infrastructure and grounds in excellent order and condition.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure the physical structure of the establishment is in proper repair and building systems are operating efficiently.
- Adds, manages and responds to on-demand maintenance requests utilizing the computer-aided facilities management system (CAFM), tying repairs to building assets within the system, updating and closing work requests in a timely manner.
- Performs or assists in the performance of work in carpentry, painting, plumbing, masonry and other trades related to the construction, maintenance and development of company properties.
- Test and service light and power distribution circuits, having sufficient experience to locate electrical trouble and perform all electrical work in accordance with Code requirements.
- Operates, repairs, and maintains heating and air conditioning services.
- Repairs and maintains electronic, voice, and data systems.
- Repairs and maintains building access systems, doors, locks and keys.
- Moves office furniture, boxes and sets up conference rooms.
- Perform grounds keeping duties as determined necessary including removal of snow and ice.
- Assist with custodial functions including general cleaning and trash removal.
- Assists in scheduling and supervising work performed by outside contractors within the facilities.
- All other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Required Education (certifications, licenses)
- High-School diploma or GED equivalent, required.
- Valid driver's license required.
Required knowledge, skill and abilities
- Minimum of 3yearsof experience in Facilities maintenance, required.
- Previous experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), computer-aided facilities management systems (CAFM) and/or building automated systems (BAS) is preferred.
- Observe, recognize and report improper and potentially hazardous conditions in working on or around Company facilities and grounds.
- Ability to use work-related machinery, equipment and tools.
- Ability to work from blueprints and oral instruction.
- Uses, reads, and understands facility prints and drawings for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal customers and external contractors.
Physical demands, environment and schedule
- Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Occasional overtime and/or weekend on-call may be required.
- Work is performed in a mix of a shared office environment, field locations, and construction areas with uneven surfaces and in areas exposed to loud audible noises.
- Work could be assigned at any of Spire's locations and necessary travel would be expected.
- Must be in good physical condition, and able to perform duties requiringclimbing and prolonged use of ladders at varying heights, use of hand and large tools, moving furniture, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and performing work outdoors resulting in exposure to above average hot and cold temperatures.
- Work is semi-skilled to skilled, performed under limited supervision.
